SHARING OF THE WORD
The word of God was taken from the book of 1 John 4:7. It was shared by Jason Kalumba. The
word of God was encouraging us to love one another, for love comes from God and anyone who
loves has been born of God and knows God.
1
Upon reading the word, it was open for everyone to share their contributions regarding on their
understanding on the word.
i) Davies Shula also added that the love of God is unconditionally and helps us to appreciate one
another.
ii) Mawa Kaba Shared that the love of God in a working place can be portrayed by helping one
another with work. Not only sticking to our job description but also extending hands if need be.
iii) Nolia Chipundo, added that the love of God also helps to forgive and love someone who has
injured or offended you by praying for them. Be it in the family, working place or community at
large. As children of Jehovah, we are supposed to emulate God, by treating each well. She gave
an example of her neighbour at home who had a very bad attitude towards her. When she had a
funeral at her place, Nolia was there for her, helping out. In the end she rent something and that,
changed her attitude towards Nolia.
Iv) Mirriam Mwiinga also emphasises on working together depending on capabilities e.g.
Departments, one in finance would extend his or her expertise to someone in programmes. She
also mentioned that sometimes God uses certain people to get us out of certain situations and it
may look hush but at the end you would realise that it was the way of showing love. And she
also gave an example of God that, by showing His love, He sacrificed His son Jesus Christ to die
for our sins in order for us to be saved. She encouraged everyone to pass on the gift of love, just
like God did.
