Question: What are the four major types of tissue?
(4 pts.)
Procedure: You are to work in groups of 2 to 4 to observe
sixteen tissue slides:
Adipose Tissue
Areolar
Bone
Cardiac Muscle
Human Blood
Hyaline cartilage
Pseudostratified ciliated columnar Epithelium
Simple columnar Epithelium
Simple cuboidal Epithelium
Simple squamous Epithelium
Skeletal Muscle
Smooth Muscle
Stratified columnar Epithelium
Stratified squamous Epithelium
Striated Muscle
Transitional Epithelium
You are to take only one slide at a time per group and then return to proper
slide tray. Be careful, not to break the microscope slide.
Lab Start with 4x and then draw the tissue sample at 10x on your drawing
paper. You must label and color the drawings and give one example of where
you would find that tissue in your body. (32 pts.) Each person in the group
must turn in a Lab.
Conclusion: What did you learn from this lab? (Give three
to five sentences.) (4 pts.)
