RTLS offers many possible solutions to many complex workflow problems in the environment we have
somethings installed that are not out of the box there are custom integrations and some track was really
willing to jump in and work with us or move group chose to centric from heartless system due to the
need for room specific location accuracy using proven technology infrared and integration with the
software vendor that was going to provide us with the data we needed for our clinical work close we can
identify workflow and see how much time staff are spending in productive areas like patient rooms and
in non productive areas we have been able to show that we can reduce hospital acquired infections
using rtls in conjunction with hand hygiene compliance the value for the patient we CN decrease in their
wait times offsetting 5% they're actually getting more time with the care team up to $0.50 more time
with the system and five minutes on average with the provider encourage a lot less loss of equipment
we increased our patient FaceTime and we've also been able to look at the rtls data and even do some
redesign in our hospital based on the input of the movement of patient and staff throughout the facility
I would say that patients perception is that the nurses in the provider staff are working in a hands free
environment that they are able to come in and address their needs without having to look at the
technology or interact with technology it's kind of in the background I think it's a silent benefit to the
patients they might not even realise that we're reducing little steps for the staff so their overall
experience can be improved nobody wants to be in the hospital but if we can provide some of the
technology to make that experience a little bit better through rts rtls information here
