– SIT
Our Life in this World (Chapter 4-6.9)
– WALK
Our Attitude to facing our Enemy (Chapter
6.10-24) – STAND
Christian life starts – as we Sit with Jesus in
the heavenlies
We are then challenged to Walk a Christian
Life in this World
Finally, we are to hold our place of victory by
Standing against the enemy
Ephesians 1:17-21
New International Version
• 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious
Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you
may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be
enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has
called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy
people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That
power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised
Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly
realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and
every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the
one to come.
SIT- Christian life starts
The Christian life does not begin with walking or standing;
it begins with sitting.
This is the keynote to a successful Christian living.
Ephesians 2:6
New International Version
• And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the
heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Thus we begin our journey with rest
in Christ.
“Christianity begins not
with a big DO, but with a
big DONE”
• Ephesian 2:8 New International Version
• For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not
from yourselves, it is the gift of God
