My artifact, a locked book
Purpose:
To inform my audience about who I am
Thesis:
A locked book is a symbolic book that represents me in three ways.

Introduction
1.
Attention getter: Many people use locked books to hide things from
others, you might as well or when you were younger.
2.
Reason to listen: Each of you could benefit from learning more about me
and discovering our common or differing interests and characteristics.
3.
Thesis Statement: A locked book is a symbolic book that represents me in
three ways.

Preview of main points:
a. A locked book is locked for only you.
b. A locked book holds many secrets.
c. A locked book won't open to others.
Transition: Now that you know about some of my interests that make me unique, I will show
you how a locked book represents me.
B.
There are three ways a locked book represents who I am.

This book is only meant for one person and not multiple.
a. I like to keep to myself or one best friend.
b. I won’t talk to you’re if a stranger
c. I still don’t tell everything to close people

Everyone trusts locked books to hold what they don’t want others to
know.
a. Lots of people trust me to keep their secrets.
b. I won’t tell others business
Transition: Now that I’ve told you a little bit about how they represent me. I will tell you why
i'm like this.
