RMS:
Was mainly dealing with catastrophe risk management. There were several
departments e,g Flood, earthquake, tsunami etc. My responsibility was to
work together with Earthquacke department. They used to collect data from
the past incidents, for example tsunami data, what caused it and how did it
happen, and then my task was to couple it together with the forecasting
data and view it from a Company generated software similar to dashboard
of powerBI or tableau. So the first task was to display data, make general
visualization and figure out what paramenters we need to consider and
what to ignore.
So important factors being highlighted in that visualization were noted, and
then these were forwarded to Data scientists. After that those DS used to
forward it t o Software development team. This team used to develop
specific Models/softwares for the client insurance companies to figure out
potential threat based on weather, and other events I future.
