The Associated Press (TAP) is a not-for-profit company engaged in providing content services, including daily newspapers and an associate membership of broadcasters and non-daily newspapers. The company operates in the US and the UK.

The company provides live and location services, AP content services, planning services and media tools, and news production services.

TAP's live and location services provides access to production and editorial solutions from locations worldwide. The company's AP content services is a content marketing service that crafts multi-format storytelling projects and deliver them across media network. It provides content in all formats such as photos, videos, articles, infographics, interactives and web pages.

The company offers planning services and media tools such as AP Stylebook, a writing and editing reference in newsrooms, classrooms and corporate offices; AP Planner, a planning tool; and Metadata tagging, which enables news taxonomy to content to receive valuable metadata for tracking, analysis and automated workflows.

TAP also provides news production services through ENPS news production system that enables to find, create and collaborate via a story-centric workflow, and deliver the content. It also shares information through collaborative workspace; and provides live production capabilities.

In addition, the company provides advertising services such as native advertising, display advertising and social promotion.
