Pureron PC-605 Series Hastelloy® C-22 Pressure Transducers For
Highly Corrosive and Reactive Specialty Gasses
PC-605SERIES
•Highly Resistant to Owrosion by HBr and HCI Gases: The use of Hastelloy C-22
electropolished on the inner surface of materials in contact with corrosive gases results in a pressure
transducer that demonstrates outstanding resistance to corrosion by halogenic speciality gases such
as HBr and HCI.
•High Accuracy : High accuracy is achieved on the order of a span of ±0.25% from a best-fit
straight line, including the effects of non-linearity, hysteresis and repeatability.
•Wide Pressure Range: Compatible pressure ranges are from -1 to 175 kgf/CM2 and -1 to 210
kg/CM2 with respect to atmospheric pressure, and from 0 to 2586 torr with respect to absolute
pressure.
•High Durability and High Reliability: Durability testing under both vacuum and atmospheric
conditions yielded results demonstrating a minimum service life of more than 1 million operating
cycles.

Numerous halogenic speciality gases, including HCI and HBr, are employed in the processes
used to manufacture semiconductor devices.These gases are both extremely corrosive and
reactive. Consequently, these gases can cause contamination of these semiconductor
processes as a result of reacting with minute amounts of moisture present on the inner surface of
stainless steels. These reactions produce by-products which then result in particle generation.
Pureron has specifically developed its PC-605 Series of pressure transducers for use with such
highly corrosive and reactive speciality gases. The use of Hastelloy® C-22 for the materials in
contact with gases results in a pressure transducer that demonstrates outstanding resistance to
corrosion by halogenic speciality gases such as HBr and HCI.
