Introduction
The Bluetooth Class 2 Module (model number
BM-MP-CS-05) is a small SMT module with
integrated capability of FM radio. This readyto-use Class2 Bluetooth module provides a
fully compliant Bluetooth system V2.0+EDR for
data and voice communications. The EDR
specification provides up to 3Mbits/s
throughput. With its tiny size 6.5x5.7x1.4mm
the module is suitable for smart handheld
devices such as mobile phones and PDA.
To improve the performance of both Bluetooth
and 802.11b/g co-located systems, especially
for handheld devices such as mobile phone
and PDA, the module provides the capability to
support a variety of hardware signalling: 2-wire
activity signalling and 3-wire (IEEE)
coexistence scheme, AFH, and host passing
channel information.

The FM radio can be simultaneously operated
with Bluetooth. It supports both US/Europe
(87.5MHz to 108MHz) and Japanese (76MHz
to 90MHz) FM band. It also supports RDS
(Radio Data System in Europe or Radio
Broadcast Data System in US).
