Unique Student Identifier (USI)
How to get your USI
to enrol or re-enrol
for 2015
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) is being introduced by
the Federal Government to help streamline your studies
in 2015.
You won’t be able to enrol or re-enrol in your course
until you have this number.
To get your USI, you need to visit www.industry.gov.au/usi
During the registration process for your USI, you will need to
select Sydney TAFE in your Access Control settings (this allows
Sydney TAFE to have access to your records).
You can then visit Sydney TAFE (in person or online) and begin
your enrolment, or re-enrolment process, using your new USI.
 Remember to make sure you have your ID with you. This can be one of a list of
approved documents that include: driver’s licence, Medicare card, Australian Passport,
Visa (non-Australian Passport), Australian Birth Certificate, Certificate or
Registration by Descent, Citizenship Certificate or an Immigration Card.
