Brill Online Journal Collections and Brill Online Journal Archives
Institutional customers may also wish to consider subscribing to the Brill Online Journal Collection or subject-specific
collections. Each collection gives access to all online available content back to the year 2000. If an institution decides not
to renew their subscription to the Collection, perpetual access to Collections is maintained for all years paid for.
The Brill Journal Archives Online (2017) offer access to over 5,500 volumes of 230 scholarly journals. The Journal Archives
consist of two parts, the first covering the 19th and 20th century and the second covering part of the 21st century.

 Over 260 journals are now available online from Brill, 14 of which are full Open Access titles.
 For institutions three subscription options are available: online only, print only or combined print plus online.
 Access to a journal’s complete electronic archive, going back to Volume 1, Issue 1, is included in institutional
subscriptions.
 An increasing number of Brill titles now offer Advance (online) article publication.
 Individual subscriptions can be either print-only or online-only (except Logos and Oud Holland, which are
combined print plus online). Subscription orders from individuals must be ordered for a private address and
must be paid for by an individual and may not be paid for by institutions or by organizations.
 After cancellation, perpetual access is guaranteed to purchased online content since 2000.

(NL), and Portico (USA).
 Brill Open offers authors the option to secure open access for their journal contributions. Visit
brill.com/brillopen for more information.
 Brill is committed to reflect a journal’s Open Access income in the development of its subscription price. This
price adjustment is determined by the change in the share of paid OA content. Following the year that this share
exceeds 10%, measured from the last such price adjustment, this change in pricing will be applied. New journals
will be excluded from this policy in the first five years of publication.
 Permissions for re-use of article content can be obtained using RightsLink. Visit brill.com/rights-permissions for
more information.
 COUNTER-compliant library usage statistics are available (through booksandjournals.brillonline.com).
