General Description
The AKU342 is a surface mountable, analog output
microphone, in an industry standard 2.95 x 3.76 x
integration into existing designs
 Low current consumption of 230µA
 Pb-free and RoHS compliant
1.00mm bottom port package.
Target Applications
Designed specifically to meet the demanding
requirements of mobile handset OEMs, the AKU342
offers excellent acoustic performance with 63dB signalto-noise ratio (SNR) and a flat wideband frequency
response, with deviations less than +/-5dB from 50Hz
to 14kHz, delivering uniform audio capture across a
broad acoustic spectrum. Utilizing a metal lid package,
the AKU342 is designed to be immune to RF end
Electromagnetic interference, thus allowing for easy
integration into wireless devices. In addition, with its
tight sensitivity matching of just +/-2dB between
microphones, the AKU342 is ideal for use in
microphone array applications where more uniform
microphones lead to increased performance of noise
 Smartphones and mobile phones which require
HD Voice quality acoustic performance in a small
form factor microphone.
 Multi-mic applications and noise cancellation
algorithms which benefit from microphones with
tightly-matched sensitivity and phase.
 Products designed to capture super-wideband
audio that require a microphone with little to no
frequency response variation from 50Hz – 14 kHz.
 Small, thin consumer electronic devices using

suppression algorithms.
The AKU342 is one of five microphones from Akustica
to offer 62dB SNR or better, flat frequency response,
and matched sensitivity. For more information on
