Process and Package Development Engineers
Location: ST KIRKOP (MALTA)
We currently have openings for Engineers within our MEMS Technology Development team
located in ST KIRKOP (MALTA), offering excellent professional and career growth in MEMS
Industry.
The Process and Package Development Engineer is part of a team driven to identify, develop, and
deliver new innovative solutions, constantly striving to improve manufacturing capability and
product quality standards.
Responsibilities:

Develop and innovate new designs, materials and process solutions, specific to the area of
ownership, for enhanced process capabilities and continuous improvement targeting
robust and cost effective packaging solutions.

Define critical process metrics and qualification plans for the evaluation and analyses of
new materials, processes and packages.

Work in synergy with a cross functional team: MEMS and IC Designers, Front End and Back
End Manufacturing Sites, Material and Equipment Vendors to meet quality, cost and
project timelines.

Conduct benchmarking & drive best practice methodologies to proactively secure
Manufacturing and Product Excellence.

Drive quality initiatives and cost reduction enhancements specific to the area of
ownership.
Profile:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences or equivalent.

Strong interest and hand-on activity in the production environments and laboratories

An innovative, creative, lateral thinking problem solver

Excellent numerical ability and strong analytical skills

Proficiency with MS Office and statistical analysis packages is required.

Experience in AutoCAD, or Finite Element simulation software is desirable.

Team-oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal skills in relating to both
internal and external customers
Successful applicant must have very strong technical skills and ability to work successfully as part
of a design team, interacting with cross functional engineering teams and understand the
product development process.
