FINAL COPY FORMAT RULES to REMEMBER
1. Always put either a title for your piece or label with the journal question.
2. Use 12 point Times New Roman only.
3. Double space – set up within format.
4. Use one inch margins – set up within format.
5. DO NOT use abbreviations or instant-messaging terms.
6. Type in black ink unless you are typing a colorful project or artwork.
7. Remember to Spell-Check before printing or use an adult editor.
8. DO NOT add an extra space between paragraphs. That is why we indent
paragraphs – using the ‘tab’ key.
9. All reflection entries must be ONE FULL page in length, not counting
the question as a title. This is 23 lines of typing.
10. Write out all two-word numbers unless it is the date. Numbers 100 and
over are also written out at the beginning of sentences.
11. No fragments or run-ons, please! Use proper grammar, spelling and
punctuation.
12. Avoid “dead” words which are overused and have lost their meaning:
nice, good, thing, stuff, etc.
