Introduces basic techniques for
drawing fashion figures. Treats use
of pen and ink, and water colors.
Explains sketching the design.

GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To provide students with the fundamentals for sketching design ideas on the
fashion figure, with attention to proportion, accuracy of details, layout and
neatness.

STUDENT LEARNER OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
a) Sketch the fashion figure in proportion
b) Sketch the fundamental fashion details
c) Transmit ideas onto paper through sketching
d) Use media and drawing techniques in layout presentation
e) Develop fashion formats in an organized and professional manner

A. Drawing theories (1 hr.)

C. Female fashion figure – balance, proportion and movement (30 hrs.)
