In this guide you will find easy to use information on the following topics:





PI Console - This console can be used to see all the protocols for your
Management Group (disease team).
Team Console - This console can be used to see protocols with a status of
Open, Pending, or Closed, as well as SAEs, Deviations, OSRs, and a Summary
of all protocols for your Management Group
QUACS Console - This console allows you to see protocol information
including reviews, SAEs etc.
Protocol Search - This console can be used to customize a search and view
information that may not be available in the other consoles
Document Search- This console can be used to search for documents
associated with any protocol. Keywords, protocol HIC number, investigator,
and institution are the optional search criteria.

PI Console:
This console can be used to see all the protocols for your Management Group.
Each tab within the console will show you different information based on what is pertinent for that
protocol type as seen below (open, closed, or pending).
Click on the protocol number hyperlink to be brought to the PI Console where you can see more
information about that protocol specifically targeted to the PI role.

Team Console:
This console can be used to see protocols with a status of Open, Pending, or Closed, as well as SAEs,
Deviations, OSRs, and a Summary of all protocols for your management group. Click on the protocol
number hyperlink to be brought to the PC Console where you can see more information about the
protocol.
The Team Console is great for your team meetings to review all protocols and relevant information in
one area. In order to view information in the Closed Protocols, SAEs, Deviations, OSRs, and Summary
tabs you must enter the Last Meeting Date. This allows you to see all the new entries or changes since
the last meeting for your group. If you have more than one management group make sure to select the
appropriate one from the drop down menu at the bottom left.

QUACS Console:
This console allows you to see protocol information including reviews, SAEs etc.
You must select a protocol before any information will appear. Start typing the protocol number in the
Select Protocol find as you type box and click on it when it appears.

Protocol Search:
This console can be used to customize a search and view information that may not be available in the
other consoles.
The ‘+’ next to the Main, Management, Treatment, and Accrual tabs can be clicked to expand the
search options within each of those areas. You can save searches that you will use often so that they
can be pulled quickly. Once all pertinent criteria have been selected, click Search in the lower right hand
corner to get your results.

Document Search
This console can be used to search for documents associated with any protocol. Keywords, protocol HIC
number, investigator, and institution are the optional search criteria.
Enter any or all of the search criteria into the available fields then click Submit.
Click on the hyperlink for the document to download a PDF version of the document.
