Discussion around one weeks notice for canceling meetings. Keep this as a norm.

 Reduction of time forced us to focus our time
 Small groups work better
 Did In service minutes go out to staff? Do they know what we did? No. We need a way to share
out information to staff that is absent from in service. Post on website?
 We want site council to be authentic
 Some people are still confused about common and formative assessments. Summative vs.
Formative assessment. We need more examples of formative assessments for staff.
 We need to address singleton teachers and PLC’s. How can we support them better? Can still set
own SMART goal and look at own data. Analyze how own classes compare to others. Singletons
can do spot checks in own classes… go through process of data collection.
 Staff should have walked away with expectation to do common assessments. First common
assessment should be completed by end of Oct. Including administering common assessment,
collecting and analyzing data. Be ready to report out by parent conferences.
 SMART goals come first – should be done in next few weeks. We need to know where we are
going.
 Need to provide tools for staff around looking at data.
 Share with department heads. Review meaning of SMART goals.
Review SIP graphic organizers submitted by PLC’s.
Looked over several organizers. Noah will scan and send to site council for our review. Not enough time
to review and give appropriate attention today.
