Development of multi-scale experimental and computational (finite element) methods for nonlinear solid mechanics, with application to failure prediction (fatigue, thermo-mechanical fatigue,
wear, creep, fracture), manufacturing processes, novel product design and functionality,
sustainability and mechanical efficiency.

Multi-scale computational modelling and experimental testing of composite materials for wind
turbine and tidal turbine applications.
