Course Overview
This course will give students a background in mathematical theory and practical techniques for
managing and analyzing data. The course will provide a valuable foundation for post-secondary
studies of statistics in fields such as business, engineering, sociology, psychology and the natural
sciences. Students will be given opportunities throughout the semester to apply what they learn to
projects. Concepts and analytical tools from the entire course will be used to complete an open-ended
