All student learning materials must be approved by the Director of Education to ensure
that they support the learning expectations of the Ontario Curriculum and that they
conform to a Catholic worldview.

Approval and Use of Student Learning Materials
All student learning materials, including print and non-print resources will be reviewed in
order to ensure that they support the learning expectations of the Ontario Curriculum, and
that they conform to a Catholic worldview.
Materials intended for use as core learning materials will be reviewed and recommended
for purchase by a committee of Program department staff and other stakeholders.
Materials that are used as supplementary learning resources (beyond approved core
resources) including materials that are deemed to be controversial, will be submitted to
the Program Department for review and a recommendation for further action will be
submitted to the Associate Director of Instructional Services. The Director of Education
will grant final approval of all student learning materials.
