241. EARLY COLLEGE ATTENDANCE
1. Purpose
This program is designed to allow academically superior students with sufficient
maturity the opportunity to attend college in lieu of their senior year.
Guidelines for leaving school prior to graduation for the purpose of higher
education:
1. Each case must be reviewed and approved by the principal.
2. Parent must indicate agreement in writing. If this is done well in advance, it
would aid in counseling and scheduling the student.
3. Student must accumulate a minimum of fifteen (15) high school credits prior to
leaving.
4. A high school diploma will be granted following the furnishing of proof that a
minimum of thirty (30) credits has been successfully completed at the college
level.
5. Only students entering recognized institutions of higher learning on a full time
basis taking program/major approved by the school are eligible for consideration.
