SKIN: If released, desiccant may absorb moisture from skin causing dryness. Irritation and sensitization have not been
noted in general for polycarboxylates.
INHALATION: If released, contents of packet would absorb moisture from mucous membranes and nasal passages.
INGESTION: Non-toxic – Will absorb moisture.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS: Desiccant may cause dryness and minor irritation.

respiratory conditions.

EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give artificial
respiration. Seek medical attention.
OTHER: If ingested, give large quantities of water and seek medical advice. Never give anything by mouth to a person
who is or could rapidly become unconscious.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: Combustible. Product will burn. Thermal decomposition may produce smoke, carbon
monoxide and other oxidation products.
FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: Firefighters should wear a NIOSH/MSHA-approved self-contained breathing apparatus
(SCBA) operated in positive pressure mode and full turnout gear or bunker gear.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Not applicable for packet. If desiccant is released, isolate area. Do not walk through or scatter spilled material. Material
becomes slippery on contact with water. Scoop into clean, dry container or vacuum. Use large amounts of water to flush
residuals to drain for wastewater treatment.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
Store in DRY area in tightly closed containers. Exposure to moisture will decrease effectiveness of product. Avoid eye and
skin contact. Do not inhale or ingest. Wash contaminated clothing before re-wearing.
EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: None required under normal conditions. If significant amounts of product are released,
select respiratory protection in accordance with 29 CFR 1920.134.
SKIN PROTECTION: None required. Wear rubber gloves to clean spilled materials.
EYE PROTECTION: None required. Wear safety glasses or goggles if desiccant may be released.
