Arrivals Level Curbside- LED Canopy Lights
While most of CLT’s 2012 Pilot Project was occurring on the upper level curbside
roadway (departures), the pilot project steering committee decided to add a
component to the lower level curbside roadway (arrivals).
Nova Lighting was selected to provide an energy efficient alternative to the
existing 190 watt High Pressure Sodium (HPS) canopy light fixtures that burn
24 hours per day. Nova Lighting chose Hubbell LED Lights because they are
made in America and provide high quality lighting and product.

Hubbell Endura LED canopy fixtures use only 55 watts per fixture
Energy efficiency, long life and improving light levels in an area with
high traffic were key components for choosing the Endura LED canopy
fixture which has a 215,000 hour life
Nova Lighting in a joint partnership with local Electrical Design and
Construction Inc. (EDCI), provided the fixtures and installation at no
charge for CLT
To ensure added visibility and saftey, the lights were installed in the area
with the most foot traffic and vehicle traffic.
The 7 lights were installed outside the baggage claim area in between
doors A&B.
The successful result of this component of the pilot project is an added degree of
passenger safety due to the improved light levels, together with a 72% reduction
in energy usage.

Hubbell Incorporated has a history of manufacturing electrical
products since 1888. By 2002, they had developed or
purchased 19 lighting divisions to form Hubbell Lighting.
Beacon Lighting is one of those companies. Originally a post
top decorative street lighting company, Beacon has developed
into a leader in LED Lighting, specializing in area, canopy,
garage and general flood lighting. The Beacon fixture installed
at CLT is the Endura Series.
