● McDowell: 3/3 Minutes Approval ● Not necessary no past minutes Agenda Approval: ○ Motion to approve the minutes by unanimous consent: Kenneth Brofman ● Seconded by: Samuel Rogers Hall Reports ● Anderson: ○ updating social media, and expanding social media presence ○ working with Letts and Centennial to get students to meet from different halls ○ working on setting up a game night during the Hurricane to give students something to do while stuck indoors ○ working on getting floor reps ○ starting the conversation about fall fest ● Berkshire ○ no meeting yet ● Cassell & Nebraska ○ met earlier in the week and started talking about plans for haunted house on October 19 ○ discussed different ways to reach out to students because the rooms are suite style people often do not come out of their rooms ● Centennial: ○ talked about filling the vacant positions on the hall ○ discussed ideas for future events and speakers ○ learned about what past halls have done to learn about what works well and what needed improvement ● Hughes ○ had a preliminary planning session ○ discussed the search for VP of Programing ○ discussed North Side Haunted house ○ discussed expanding technological resources for Hughes hall ● Leonard ○ discussed filling the vacant positions on the council ○ October 15 there will be a meet the council event and a nacho bar ○ discussed plans for the Haunted House ● Letts Clark and Roper ○ set expectations and defined roles of the hall council in the first meeting ○ sent out applications for vacant positions on the hall council ○ has been reaching out on social media, and finding out the best way to reach out to residents ○ want to start gaining input from residents, will be setting up a forum to do that ● McDowell: ○ working to fill the vacant position in the hall council ○ planning tabling event to meet the residents Executive Board Reports ● President ○ had one on one meetings with EBoard ○ had dinner with Kerwin on Monday, at dinner discussed some common goals with SG and GLC about mental health, sexual assault, and student debt ○ had meeting with Chris Moody discussed: ■ all the changes made to RHA this year ■ Alcohol policy and potential changes will be discussed at the next meeting ○ went to SAWG (sexual assault working group) meeting ○ had meeting with Paul the president of the NRHH and Will, the delegation for CAACURH has been selected! ○ Safety Fest and Alcohol Prevention Task force meeting on Friday ○ October 16 is the All American Showcase ○ meeting with Sasha next Tuesday, bi weekly meetings have been set up ● Vice President of Administration and Finance ○ got a grant fund request from Sigma Epsilon for their philanthropy Bats for Big Brothers, Big Sisters ○ got HDP staff fund request from North Campus for $300 for Halloween ○ made each hall an Excel spread sheet so the hall councils can track their budget ○ updated the budget and filed all the receipts ○ will present the budget at the second GA ● Vice President of Advocacy and Community Coordination ○ set up meeting with Sarah from the Wellness Center to discuss OASIS ○ one Monday had dinner with Kerwin, sat at Dr. Hanson’s table and discussed greek life on campus and its effects on students ○ meeting tomorrow to get Title IX worker for AU ○ meeting about condoms in the residence halls have been pushed back indefinitely the school wants student testimonials, if interested contact Alex ○ Audrey and Alex discussed safety fest ● Vice President of Programming ○ met with Emily Wolf from blue crew, briefed her on when meeting happen, she was given the task of defining her involvement because she did not have a definite plan for how to proceed with RHA ○ went to the eagles round table and sat with athletics, talked about sexual assault ○ had a meeting about Safety Fest more information about it will be coming ○ set up the meeting about Founder’s Day ○ Filipino American Coalition is having a health and sexual awareness from 6­8 in the Perch. ● National Communications Coordinator ○ working on assembling delegation for CAACURH ○ planning the re­affiliation both regionally and nationally ● Chief of Staff ○ made rosters for the hall councils ○ made the emails for Aboard ○ I need all hall councils to fill vacant positions by the next GA if possible, and a list of all the emails of the hall council members ● NRHH ○ NRHH is the organization that recognizes student leaders on campus ○ OTMs recognize any people associated with the school, they are monthly awards ○ anyone can make an account to write OTM’s ○ Some examples of OTM’s are RA’s of the month, student of the month, programs, first year ○ for every month the OTM’s are due the 5th of the next month ○ OTM’s can win on the regional and national level ○ Question Olivia: Can you nominate people outside the hall? ■ Answer: yes! ● Advisors ○ no updates at this time Old Business ● N/A New Business ● Swear in Appointed Executive Board Members ● Swear in New Members ● President’s Summer Report ○ stayed here over the summer ○ discuss changes to RHA with HDP staff, RHA goals, things that will happen ○ met with Sasha the SG pres and talked about initiative to work on together ○ met with Daniel and Cait to make the plan for this year ○ went to the national conference with Daniel and Linda more information to come ● NACURH Report ○

motion to table by unanimous consent: Kenneth Brofman seconded by: Max Zimerman Halls can earn points to win Hall of the Year examples of activities that earn points: OTMS, getting residents out to events, going to RAs events, blue crew games, working with RA’s, inter hall coordination, writing and presenting resolution for GA ○ Eboard is re structuring the point system to simplify it and make sure it is fair ○ Autumn Grant: Is there a way to record attendance? Do the RA’s and RD’s know we will be working with them? ■ Eboard is working on a way to make the point system proportional, it is easy to document attendance for Blue Crew because they scan you in, but Eboard are working on a method of attendance for hall events, send in pictures of hall events ■ The RA’s should know hall councils will reach out to them, but Eboard will tell the RDs to ensure the RA’s are aware Open Forum ● Weather for this weekend ○ Terry: will dining close? ■ Answer: No, as of now dinning hours will go on as usual ○ Lisa Torres: was approached by RA’s about planning movie night ○ Jake Mania: the hurricane will miss us, just a lot of rain ○ Martin Maldanado: will students be notified about the weather? ■ all staff members are trained in emergency response, there will be food, people are on call ■ public safety will notify students via email ■ Alex: encourage residents to reach out to RA’s and RD’s with questions about safety if they are concerned Aubrey: Is the hurricane coming Friday, Saturday or Sunday? ● Answer: The hurricane is supposed hit all weekend Zach Avis: Is there a way to gain access to the classroom that is usually closed? ● Answer: Yes, sign out key at the front desk and talk to RD’s about it General Announcements ● Cait: Is there a response to the shooting in oregon? ○ Terry: I think RHA should hold a Vigil, or support a group that is holding a vigil ● Martin M: point of information, can RHA right a resolution supporting an external cause/ how does that work? ■ Response: We can release a statement ○ Zach: We should offer condolences, and if students reach out to us we can direct them to the counseling center and other resources we have on campus ○ Yazmin: same idea, inform students of the resources on campus and know that we are there for them ○ Olivia M: just reach out and tell students what happened, make sure they are informed and know we can help them Recognition ● Samuel: shout out to Eboard for orientation ● Alex: shout out to the new hall councils ● Cristina: shout out to South Side for already working together ● Audrey: shout out to Kayla from the Berks for showing up at all, we are working on incorporating/ welcoming the Berks into RHA ● Terry: point of info is Mcdowell here? ○ Answer: Yes, it is now the Cassell/Nebraska hall council, merged Terry: shout out to the Adjournment ● Motion to adjourn by unanimous consent: Martin ● Seconded by: Sam ● time:10:34pm Did you read the minutes?
