Parent Educator
Smart Start of New Hanover County is currently accepting applications for the position of Parent
Educator. Bachelors required in social work, family studies or related field.
Job duties include: Group facilitation, individual coaching and consultation, intake interviews and
assessments, outreach efforts and promotion.
Skills desired: Knowledge of child development, willingness to be trained in and adherence to evidencebased curricula such as Triple P and Motheread/Fatheread, strong empathy skills, and an ability to relate
to a diverse population.
