September 1999 - September 2000, Research Associate, CIMTROP-Darwin Initiative
Conducting research on the land-use management of peatlands in Central Kalimantan as part of a
collaborative programme between the University of Nottingham and the University of Palangkaraya. Result of
the study is written into a Master's dissertation. An abridged version is published in the Tropical Peatland
Journal.

Assisting the Jakarta Correspondent of the BBC World Service. Also produced and voiced feature news
packages for the BBC. Contribute voiced reports on occasions for other Radio Stations including the Radio
Corporation of Singapore and Vatican Radio since November 1996.
