Early Child Education Program Coordinator
Salary range/month: Rp. 2.500.000 – Rp. 3.500.000
FMCH Indonesia or Yayasan Balita Sehat is a non-governmental organisation based in Jakarta
working under the umbrella of the UK registered charity, Foundation for Mother and Child Health
(FMCH).It was initially established in Jakarta by Barbara Jayson, MBE (a British nurse who was an
expatriate in Jakarta) in 2001.
FMCH Indonesia aims to eliminate malnutrition among Indonesian children under the age of five and
the causes of poverty within communities; to improve their health, nutrition, and education status;
and to improve the health education and income ability of their mothers. FMCH Indonesia work in
Jakarta, Bojonggede and West Timor implementing programs in areas of health, education and skills.
Role
To lead the design and implementation of the Early Childhood Education programmes.
Summary Under the guidance of FMCH Indonesia’s Programme Manager, s/he will be responsible
for will be responsible on the design, implementation and reporting of early child education
programs in all FMCH working are. He/she will work with other education team member and stake
holders to determine needs, develop desirable goals, implement the education program, and
evaluate the effectiveness of the program. He/she will report to FMCH Program Manager.
Report to: Programme Manager
Location: Office based in Jakarta, with travel to projects across Indonesia
Contract duration: April 2014 – April 2015
Job Responsibilities
The ECE Program Coordinator will:

Determining children needs in learning and to develop goals for meeting needs.
Proposing programs planned to Program Manager
Delivering agreed programs
Managing budget
Supervise the work of early learning centres and other programs related to ECE
Monthly reporting the activities and finance to Indonesia Program Manager
Consulting with Program Manager and/or Program Supervisor in any case of difficulties
Responding to feedback and queries from either Program Supervisor or Program Manager
Resource person for capacity building for the teachers, or the community in early education
program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Skills

At least 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of Early Childhood Education
programmes implemented by national/international NGOs, private sector or government;

University Degree preferably in Childhood Education.

Excellent communication skills (written and oral): sensitivity to and responsiveness to all
children, parents and staffs.

Creative, passionate and love working with young children

Good team player

Fluency in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English
