Tree Crew Foreman
Location: Naperville HQ
Reports to: Business Mgr.
Position Purpose: The Tree Crew Foreman is responsible for:
• Performing tree work as directed by sales and management
• Organizing, coordinating, and performing crew duties and responsibilities in order to ensure job
efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Providing managerial support as a liaison between sales staff and crew.
• Collection and minor processing of quantitative job data.
Principle Accountabilities:
Essential Duties:
1. Arboricultural Assignments
• Execute job assignments as directed by sales staff, including:
i. Climbing, Trimming, Limbing, Felling, Injecting
• Supervising/ directing crew members

Equipment Maintenance
• Monitor and maintain all crew gear, equipment and vehicles
• Monitor safety conditions & equipment
Management Responsibilities:
• Supervising/ directing crew members
• Delegating job duties to crew members
• Communicate job progress with Mgmt/ Sales staff
• Assist recruiting & selection of field staff
• Orient & train new employees
• Assist in designing and executing crew policies, standards and
Procedures
• Assist with performance evaluations

Position Specifications:
Job Qualifications:
Education:
• ISA certification or ability to obtain
• Possession of or ability to obtain a Driver’s License class C
• Certified tree worker or Associates Degree with applicable experience, H.S. with
exceptional experience
• Ability to obtain an IL dept. of Ag. Pesticide operator’s license
• Additional educational opportunities will be provided as applicable
Work Experience:
• 3-5 yrs experience in applied arboricultural practice preferred
Competencies:
• Proficiency with standard climbing (with and without spurs), roping, pruning,
limbing, felling, cabling & bracing techniques
• Proficiency working in a bucket truck
• Arboricultural knowledge and tree ID skills
• High business acumen
• Management and supervisory skills
• Decision making skills
• Stress & time management ability
• Willing participation in organizational change
