EACHING

My teaching philosophy is one is based in adaptability and growth. As our world information evolves and new educational theories, pedagogy and technologies emerge, I commit to life-long learning in order to bring current business and communication information to students. It is my intention to help prepare students to be excellent decision-makers and communicators for their jobs and their lives.

My commitment is to prepare students to be excellent communicators premised on delivering current business communication knowledge, a discipline that is changing at un-calculable speeds. It is my belief that we have moved from the Information Age to the Communication Age where writing and speaking excellence has never been more important to daily life.

My commitment is to offer as many writing and speaking assignments as possible; experiences are the way our brain learns best.

My commitment is to prepare students to be better thinkers using the application of neuroscience principles of social learning, mental self-regulation and learning how to learn in an environment of active learning.

I commit to using educational technology tools that offer our students advanced knowledge and competitive advantage. This generation is the first generation to be born into technology as a way of life. My philosophy is to meet them where they are, in a technology rich environment, to prepare them for the workplace.

Commit to use my Garrett Change Process model that I developed during my NeuroLeadership degree experience. The six aspects are: Motivation, Learning, Strategy with Coaching, Actions with

Coaching, Feedback with Coaching, and Maintenance.
