The Role of an Undergraduate Research
Experience in Engaged Learning
Dr. George Walker, Vice President for Research and
Graduate Studies, Cleveland State University
It is known that an undergraduate research experience
plays a crucial role in the clarification of graduate school
intentions and refinement of career plans for physics
majors/minors, yet the importance of this experience is
not emphasized enough. Please join SPS and Dr. George
Walker for an informal discussion on the importance of
an undergraduate research experience and related topics.
Dr. Walker would also be happy to answer questions
regarding preparation for a successful and exciting career
in physics.
