Facebook policy
Content
The National Archives account is managed by the Marketing and Communications
department on behalf of colleagues across the organisation.
We may occasionally use some automation (such as RSS feeds) but intend that this will
not dominate the messages posted.
If you like The National Archives on Facebook, you can expect some or all of the
following:


Updates and wall posts about new content on our website including news,
publications and newly released files.
Updates and wall posts about new videos and pictures uploaded to YouTube and
Flickr.
Wall posts and participation by fans
We will encourage our fans to comment, discuss and interact with The National
Archives and give feedback on the content on our wall.
Any comments made are the authors opinion alone and do not represent those of The
National Archives. Comments will not be edited or censored, however, any posts that
may cause offence, are about a named individual or use offensive language will be
removed.
We reserve the right to block any fans that are seen to persistently post offensive
comments.
Sharing
We encourage fans to share any relevant information on our wall and to post to their
profile any content from The National Archives fan page which they feel may be of
interest to their friends.
Availability
We will update and monitor our Facebook account during office hours, Monday to
Friday. Facebook may occasionally be unavailable and we accept no responsibility for
lack of service to Facebook downtime.
