New Director of Student Services at SBCTC – Joe Holliday begins June 1.
New Director of Transfer Education at SBCTC – Joyce Hammer began May 13, 2014
New Director of eLearning at SBCTC – Mark Jenkins
There will be a Reverse Transfer Project with several interested CTC’s and Universities begins ramping
up in June.
ICRC Handbook has been updated, including the WWU provisos to the DTA, the name changes at the
Seattle District, and other changes
College Bound Scholarship Program names are available from Student Achievement Council
The one year waiting period for veterans/active members of the military for purposes of eligibility for
resident tuition goes away as of June 12. This doesn’t impact the residency requirement for tuition
waivers (fps 70, 71).
Awarding of military credit as it is applicable to degree needs to be listed in catalog.
Budget cuts – approximately 3M from entire CC system.

ctcLink is moving forward at First Link schools.
Ambersand for Common Course Numbering has been incorporated into PeopleSoft.
Discussion of language for transcript to indicate whether records are being transferred over from older,
legacy database, or from another institution (PeopleSoft allows for multiple transcripts to be included).
Small work group continues to work on appropriate language.

PLA project – Instruction Council requested to have more things included. The PLA work group has made
some changes, and Carmen McKenzie will send out new draft to ARC.
Kudos to Patrick and rest of small group on the hard work on this project!

Data Alert System – New way of communicating with various parties. Be sure to sign up for it.

Business Meeting:
Minutes from January meeting approved.
Budget report: Ending Balance is $7,868.10
New business:
New Membership Packet being discussed/created. Executive Board to work on over the summer.
Logo Contest – design a logo for ARC, and submit to Steve Downing. The winning design would be used
on packet/bags that would be handed out to new members. Winning design gets ARC registration
waived for next meeting.
Liaison Reports:
Discussion of value and regularity of reports from different agencies. We will continue to monitor other
agency listservs, and bring back information as appropriate.
Elections:
Cynthia Mowry nominated as President-Elect. Approved.
Theresa Nording and Joan Kammerzell nominated as Treasurer. Joan elected.
Big Thank you to Theresa Nording for her service as Treasurer.
This meeting ends Steve Downing’s tenure as President, and Kathy Rhodes’ tenure as Past President.
Executive Council will meet August 6 at CWU for board meeting prior to WAACRAO.
