ERHAVIT® HB – Universal liming agent providing good cutting yield
Features
ERHAVIT® HB is an amine based, sulphide-free liming agent in liquid
form.
Handling & storage:
Wear goggles and gloves during handling and close the container firmly
after use. ALWAYS STIR BEFORE USE.
Can be stored for about 1 year (from date of production) if kept between
10°C and 25°C. In any case, protect from cold below -10°C and from heat
above 30°C. If exposed to the cold, bring in to a warm place and stir
before use.
Benefits
ERHAVIT® HB increases area and cutting yields. Suitable for:
ERHAVIT® HB improves opening-up of the hide structure and is very
effective in reducing swelling and wrinkling during the liming process.
ERHAVIT® HB accelerates the diffusion of liming chemicals.
ERHAVIT® HB imparts a very good grain-cleaning effect and improves the
quality of hides & skins.
ERHAVIT® HB is specially designed for the hair-pulping process but it can
also be used in hair-save processes.
Application
Soaking is ideally done with PELLVIT® IS-A supported by PELLVIT® C to
achieve the best cutting yields. This may be followed by a hair-pulping or
hair-saving process including 0.8 – 1.5 % ERHAVIT® HB (based on salted
or fresh hide weight).
The quantity of ERHAVIT® HB to be used largely depends on the required
sodium sulphide or sodium sulphydrate reduction in the lime. Larger
quantities result in a higher yield in area and in improved pelt quality.
