ZoTech Fiesta II ‘14
List of Events and Some Guidelines
1. Quiz
-
This is a team event
Each team will comprise of three members.
Topics : General Science and Technology, Sports, General Knowledge, Current affairs,
Indian History
Free registration, only first 16 applications will be accepted
2. Programming Competition(C/C++)
-
This is an individual event
Time taken to complete the given program(s) will be the criteria to decide the prize
winners.
Event will be conduct in a laboratory where windows OS is installed in each PC
Participants may write programs in C or C++ whichever they prefer.
Topics : Basic functions, control structure, operations, pointers, arrays and string
Free registration. Screening may be conducted depending on the number of applications
received
3. MATLAB Contest

Five questions need to be solved
Time taken to complete the given program(s) will be the criteria to decide the prize
winners.
Topics : Mathematical based(differential equation, matrix, graph and
mathematical operation)
Free registration but limited seats
4. Science Exhibition
-
-
-
Each team comprise of two members or individual can participate
A model must be exhibit for the following two days
o Day 1 (16. 10. 2014) : 1: 00 PM – 4: PM
o Day 2 (17. 10.2014) : 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Prizes will be given in two categories
o Junior Level : Class IX - Class XII can participate
o Senior Level : Graduate and above can particiate

5. Chess
-
It will be a knock-out system
Maximum of 2 minutes will be given for a single move
Participants are expected to be able to play both on PC and on actual Chess board
Free registration, only first 32 applications will be accepted
6. Animation Competition
-
Theme/Topics will be given on the spot
The animation based on the given theme/topic must be created within 2.30 hours using
Maya 2011

7. Tech Talk
-
Topic : Any innovative topics
Soft copy of the full article must be summited to saranjaishi01@gmail.com or
ajaysinghmzu2011@gmail.com, on or before 10th October 2014
Format : 12 font size, Calibri/TNR, 2 to 4 pages in A4 size
Presentation duration : 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for interaction
The participants must give the detail contact information(address, email, phone)

8. 3-D movies

Enjoy!!! English, Hindi etc movies will be screened
Rush!! Booking will be done on the SPOT

9. Games

NFS Most Wanted
Registration Fee : Rs 50/- per head
Matches will be played in Knock Out System on circuits which will be selected randomly
4 players will be playing in a match
Counter Strike- Source Orange Box Game
Registration Fee : Rs 500/- per team
Five members should be there in a team
In each match there will be 16 rounds , in case of a draw,there will be one tie-breaker
Starting money will be 800 dollars.
After 8 rounds teams will have to be switched from counter terrorist to terrorist or viceversa.
Time limit for each map will be 1min 45 sec
10.1 Minute Public Service Announcement
-
Duration : 60 sec
Camera of any type even mobile camera is accepted
Target audience is youth
The message should be clear
Can be in both visual and audio form or only in visual or audio

11.Workshop

Learn Something! Participants will be taught Breadboard Designing practically
Breadboard and components will be given to each participant individually
Registration fee : Rs 100
Only first 50 applications will be accepted for this hands on workshop

2. Last date of Provisional Registration : 10th October, 2014
3. Provisional Registration will be cancelled if not confirmed at least by one hour before the
event.
4. First Come First Serve System will be applied if the applications are more than the available
seats
