The Vancouver Typhoons have been representing Greater Vancouver in the National Hockey League
since the 1970s. The Vancouver Typhoons Fan Club was created in 1986 and offers events, contests, and
other special offers to involve Typhoon fans in the team spirit!
Duties/Responsibilities:
 Host minor hockey teams in the building on game nights
 Coordinate logistics of program during intermission play
 Assist as needed in the coordination of club fundraising events and event night duties
 Provide administrative support, including database management, planning and execution of
the annual program launch, and program kit preparation
 Answer general telephone and mail inquiries, respond to all email inquiries from website, assist
with player fan mail
 Monitor the newspapers and clip community related articles, research other community
initiatives and complete research projects
 Assist the Community Partnerships department with general office duties
Requirements/Qualifications:
 Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external
customers
 Committed to ensuring superior customer service and supporting the team
 Outgoing, pleasant personality with a professional telephone manner
 Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented
 Strong written communication skills
 Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office, email and internet usage
 Able to work independently with minimal supervision
 Must be able to work flexible hours, as some evenings and weekends will be required
