GENERAL JOB SUMMARY
This individual will provide technical support for the Quality function, ensuring our food
products are safe, in compliance with food maw and regulation, and meet the needs of our
customers. This position often lends itself to short-term assignments where quick turnaround is
essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES







Provide technical support to the Quality function in the areas of Labeling, Regulatory,
Quality Systems, and Quality assurance. This includes but not limited to:
o Ensure Quality and Food safety at ingredient and packaging supplier, APF plant
and Co-manufacturing locations
o Prepare, review and submit food labeling and regulatory filings
o Proof technical specifications and ensure compliance throughout the supply chain
o Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve our manufacturing processes.
Maintain, verify, organize and discern output data generated by the Quality process.
Key output data from the Quality process into computer programs and maintain
departmental Excel tracking spreadsheets. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
Generate daily/ weekly/ monthly reports.
Contact and send information to internal and external stakeholders accurately and in a
timely manner and on an annual time schedule.
Adhere to all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, as appropriate.
Complete other projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS






Excellent written communication skills along with a strong analytical ability.
Strong interpersonal skills. Communication with suppliers and customers is a
requirement and professionalism is essential.
Computer proficient with Microsoft products, especially with maintaining informational
Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to handle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and
expectations.
A strong willingness to learn new technical skills.
Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality with company and departmental
records.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Current student in good standing at an accredited University, with 2-3 years progress
towards a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Food Science or Engineering.
