NOTICE INVITING BIDS
San Jacinto Campus ESL Lab Remodel
Mt. San Jacinto Community College District is inviting sealed bids to furnish all labor, tools,
equipment, and materials necessary for the project “San Jacinto Campus ESL Lab Remodel” at
the San Jacinto Campus, 1499 North State Street, San Jacinto, CA 92583-2399
General Scope of Work: Minor interior remodeling of the existing workroom in the Library
building at the San Jacinto Campus. Work included, but not limited to, demolition; wall
construction, interior electrical work, minor mechanical work, new doors and hardware, and
finishes.
All construction will be completed as per plans and specifications. Any modifications must be
submitted and approved in writing by the District’s representative.
In accordance with the provisions of Sections 1770 and 1773 of the Labor Code, the Director of
the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages
applicable to the work to be done. These rates are set forth in a schedule located at the State
Department of Industrial Relations, Director of Industrial Relations. This schedule is available
to any interested party on request. Attention is directed to the provisions of Sections 1777.5 and
1777.6 of the labor Code of the State of California concerning employment of apprentices by the
contractor or a subcontractor. Each prime contractor and all subcontractors are responsible for
compliance with the requirements of Sections 1777.5 and 1777.6.

Each set will require a non-refundable fee of $50.00 (Fifty). Checks are to be made out directly

BIDDER’S JOB WALK: A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted on Thursday,
May 27, 2010 beginning promptly at 2:00 p.m. Participants shall meet at the project jobsite, San
Jacinto Campus 1499 North State Street, Library Bldg. 300.

than the day of the bid opening June 3, 2010 by 2:00 p.m.. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety
(90) days from the date set for the opening of the bids.
BID SECURITY REQUIRED
10% of the base bid amount, as described in the Instructions to Bidders contained herein.
