Please select the assignments that will help YOU learn your new vocabulary terms BEST.
Select the three most challenging
vocabulary terms and create an
acrostic poem for each term. The
poem should help you remember
what the word means.
Select five of your vocabulary
words and cut pictures from
newspapers, magazines, or print
images from the internet that
represent each word. (1 image
per term)
Write an original sentence for each
vocabulary term.
(10 required)
Create a comic strip that uses 7-10
of your vocabulary words in the
conversations between the
characters.
Write a short story (2-3
paragraphs) using each of your
vocabulary terms. Please
underline each term.
Write your vocabulary terms 5x each to
help you memorize their spelling.
Create an analogy for five of your
vocabulary terms. Analogies can
help to explain an unfamiliar
concept by making a comparison to
something that we do understand.
Write a song or rap using all of
the words. Make sure the
song/rap includes the meaning of
all the words.
Create a riddle for five of your vocabulary
words. Your riddle should have a
minimum of four lines, should be written
in the first person and the last line should
be “what am I?” Make sure you have an
answer key.
