What is an Ecozone?

Using ecozones to study the land helps us to
understand the interconnections among natural &
human systems.

Canada has 15 ecozones
- divided into 47 eco-provinces
- further subdivided into 177 eco-regions
- broken into 5395 eco-districts

There are also 5 marine ecozones around Canada

Ecozones are useful for studying the land. They
help us understand…
