    One reason tawhid is important to Muslims is that it shows Allah is the one true God. This means that He is worthy of their worship and ‘nothing is worthy of worship but Him.’ Another reason is that it shows that Allah is in control of the universe.

  • c) Explain two reasons why Usul ad-Din are important to Shi’a Muslims. SOWA. (5) 

    One reason the ‘Usul ad-Din are important to Shi’a Muslims is that believing in Tawhid is the foundation of Islam. In the Qur’an it says, ‘Worship God and shun false gods.’ This helps Muslims to focus on Allah in every aspect of their lives. Another reason is that the five roots identity the nature and will of Allah. This means that Muslims can live according to Allah’s will.
