Plants

  • Plant rights
Plant rights are rights to which plants may be entitled.
  • Vine
A vine (Latin vīnea "grapevine", "vineyard", from vīnum "wine") in the narrowest sense is the grapevine (Vitis), but more generally it can refer to any plant with a growth habit of trailing or scandent (that is, climbing) stems or runners.

  • Spermatophyte
The spermatophytes (from the Greek word Σπερματόφυτα), also known as phanerogams or phenogamae, comprise those plants that produce seeds, hence the alternative name seed plants.
  • Alpine plant
Alpine plants are plants that grow in an alpine climate, which occurs at high elevation and above the tree line.
  • Tree
In botany, a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, supporting branches and leaves in most species.
  • Plant ecology
Plant ecology is a subdiscipline of ecology which studies the distribution and abundance of plants, the effects of environmental factors upon the abundance of plants, and the interactions among and between plants and other organisms.
  • Herbicide
Herbicide(s), also commonly known as weedkillers, are chemical substances used to control unwanted plants.
  • Ornamental plant
Ornamental plants are plants that are grown for decorative purposes in gardens and landscape design projects, as houseplants, for cut flowers and specimen display.
  • Nardostachys jatamansi
Nardostachys jatamansi is a flowering plant of the Valerian family that grows in the Himalayas.
  • Cryptogam
A cryptogam (scientific name Cryptogamae) is a plant (in the wide sense of the word) that reproduces by spores, without flowers or seeds.
  • Shrub
A shrub or bush is a small to medium-sized woody plant.
  • Euphyllophytina
Euphyllophytina, the euphyllophytes, is a taxon – sometimes unranked, sometimes placed at the rank of subdivision – within the tracheophytes.
  • Polysporangiophyte
Polysporangiophytes, also called polysporangiates or formally Polysporangiophyta, are plants in which the spore-bearing generation (sporophyte) has branching stems (axes) that terminate in sporangia.
