  • Drug Importation Act

    -the first federal statue to protect citizens from harmful drugs, and it prohibited the importation of adulterated drugs

    -(only for drugs that were imported from different countries)

    -prohibited interstate commerce of misbranded and adulterated food, drinks, and drugs
