Chinese New Year, known in modern Chinese as the "Spring Festival" (simplified Chinese 春节; traditional Chinese 春節; Pinyin: Chūn jié ), is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar.

Nowruz (Persian: نوروز‎‎ Nowruz; [nouˈɾuːz]; literally "New Day") is the name of the Iranian New Year, also known as the Persian New Year, which is celebrated worldwide by Iranian people, along with some other ethno-linguistic groups, as the beginning of the New Year.

Losar (Tibetan: ལོ་གསར་, Wylie: lo-gsar, Nepali: ल्होसार) is the Tibetan word for "new year".
