to help families fill out forms and understand the process. Dale Schmidt of College Access Fairfax is here
at Hayfield’s Career Center during most SOAR times. You can make an appointment with him to fill out

Already filed your FAFSA? Remember that you’ll need to update it with your 2015 info once you’ve
completed your taxes. If you file your taxes electronically, wait about 2-3 weeks, and then update your
FAFSA. There will be an option to link to your IRS form and transfer the information into your FAFSA
(also known as “IRS Data Retrieval”).

Check your junk mail! If your college admissions office is missing something in your application, they
usually send you an e-mail. Sometimes those end up in your junk mail, and you never know it's there
until it's too late. Please take a look at your junk mail folder at least once a week.
