fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
1 Co 1:9 God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our
Lord, is faithful.
2 Co 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do
righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light
have with darkness?
Ga 2:9 James, Peter and John, those reputed to be pillars, gave me and
Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given
to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews.
Php 3:10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the
fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
Heb 13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with

Gospel
1 John 1:3 We proclaim to you what we have seen
and heard, so that you also may have
fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with
the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

2) Fellowship is the Goal of Jesus mission
Ezekiel 37:26–28 I will make a covenant of peace
with them; it will be an everlasting covenant. I will
establish them and increase their numbers, and I
will put my sanctuary among them forever. 27 My
dwelling place will be with them; I will be their
God, and they will be my people. 28 Then the
nations will know that I the LORD make Israel holy,
when my sanctuary is among them forever.’ ”

3) Fellowship is the Witness the world observes
The signature recognized as “follower of Jesus”
John 13:34–35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved
you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are
my disciples, if you love one another.”
The proclamation to unbelievers that God loves them
John 17:20–23 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who
will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one,
Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that
the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory
that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in
me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you
sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

4 ) Fellowship is repeatedly commanded,
encouraged and protected
Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor
one another above yourselves.
Romans 12:16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be
proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do
not be conceited.
Romans 15:7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted
you, in order to bring praise to God.
1 Corinthians 1:10

that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be
perfectly united in mind and thought.
Ephesians 5:21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever
grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord
forgave you.
Hebrews 3:13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is
called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s
deceitfulness.
Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in
the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the
more as you see the Day approaching.
1 Peter 4:9
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.
1 Peter 5:14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of
you who are in Christ.
1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to
love one another.

Temple – 1 Peter
Body 1 Corinthians 12:18
But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body,
every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19
If they were all one part, where would the body be?
20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

6) Fellowship is your connection to life,
Eph 4:16 From
him the whole body, joined and held
together by every supporting ligament, grows
and builds itself up in love, as each part does its
work.
1 Corinthians 12:21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I
don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to
the feet, “I don’t need you!”
