OPERATING JUNIPER NETWORKS ROUTERS IN THE
ENTERPRISE (OJRE):
Objectives
Introductory-level course
Focuses on installation, configuration, operational analysis, and
troubleshooting considerations of Juniper Networks routers in the
enterprise.
OJRE
 Introduces Juniper Networks Enterprise Routing platforms including both M-
series and J-series models
 Then focuses on router configuration using both the J-Web graphical user
interface (GUI) and the JUNOS software command-line interface (CLI).
 Deals with real-world configuration and operational monitoring case studies
(general router configuration and for RIP, static, and OSPF routing)
 Provides an overview of common services such as the Virtual Router
Redundancy Protocol (VRRP), the Multilink Point-to-Point Protocol (MLPPP)
and Network Address Translation (NAT).

ADVANCED JUNIPER NETWORKS ROUTING IN THE
ENTERPRISE (AJRE):
Objectives
Course is designed to provide knowledge and skills necessary to use Juniper Networks routers to meet their networks´
requirements. It covers advanced routing and services configurations of Juniper Networks J-series and M-series
platforms, focusing specifically on advanced configurations commonly used in the enterprise environment.
Specifically the curriculum covers :
Juniper Networks routers evaluate policies.
Implementing a stateless firewall filter to protect the Routing Engine (RE).
Implementing both an inbound and outbound routing policy for traffic over multiple ISP connections using BGP.
Monitoring and troubleshooting BGP sessions and policy application.
Configuring Layer 2 services, including the Multilink Point-to-Point (MLPPP) protocol, Multilink Frame Relay (MLFR),
and the Compressed Real-Time Transport Protocol (CRTP).
Implementing a stateful firewall to enforce a firewall policy.
Implementing Network Address Translation (NAT).
Creating the VPNs between some combination of J-series and M-series routers.
Designing and configuring appropriate CoS policies.
