PART II – YOU HEAR A YOUNG MAN TALK ABOUT HIS SCHEDULE. THERE ARE 4
STATEMENTS ON YOUR PAPER. DECIDE IF THEY ARE TRUE OR FALSE ACCORDING
TO WHAT YOU HEAR. (LISTEN FOR NAME OF CLASS, LUNCH, MALL, TENNIS)
READING SECTIONS (2 PARTS)
Read an email. Underneath the email you have 4 incomplete statements.
Underneath each statement are two choices. Select the correct choice according
to what you read in the email.
You read a school newspaper article. Underneath there are 4 statements. Decide
if statements are true or false according to article you read.
CULTURE SECTION (1)
Read the statements about Costa Rica and decide if they are true or false.
Study wildlife information, school year, the schools session names and types of
exams. (THESE CAN BE FOUND IN THE NOTA CULTURALES)
VOCABULARIO (3 )
Name the class in which you would use each certain school supplies.
We practiced this in class. Use it to study.
For the second Vocab part: They give you activities and you write in Spanish
where you would do these activities.
Ex. Concierto answer: el auditorio
For the third part you will have some questions and you have to answer them.
Ex. ¿Qué clases tienes por la tarde? Yo tengo el español, el inglés y el arte.
GRAMÁTICA (3)
For the first part you will see a pronoun followed by two lines. Underneath each
pronoun you see a school supply. You write a question and you answer the
question.
EX. Eduardo (papel) ¿Cuánto papel tiene Eduardo?
El tiene mucho or poco papel.
For the second part you have an emal with missing verb forms. (after each blank
you see an er, ir verb, Fill in the blank with the correct form of the verb they give
you. CAREFUL: you must read to see who the person/pronoun is so you select
the correct verb form.
EX. Hola, Francis. Yo ______ (escribir) poco porque… YOU WOULD WRITE
ESCRIBO BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE PRONOUN YO.
For the third part you have to use IR + A + infin.
EX. Ana y Clara/estudiar : ANSWER: Ellas van a estudiar.
WRITING (2)
For the first part :Write a short paragraph. Know your schedule, names of
classes, lunch.
For the second part: Write a conversation. Know how to ask what you are
planning on doing on the weekend and how to answer this question as well.
Know how to invite someone to do something.
