In addition, IDS offers the following programs with Majors and Minors: Africana Studies; Arts Studies in Film, Music, or Visual Arts; Science, Technology & Society; Women’s & Gender Studies; and IDS Self-Design Majors. Minors are also offered in Forensic Sciences, Middle East Studies, Native American Studies, and Nonprofit Studies. AHS ~ Alexander Hamilton Scholars Program is a dual degree program for highly motivated students offered jointly by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Management. Students are in designated activities outside the classroom. BFS ~ Benjamin Franklin Scholars Program is a dual degree program for highly motivated students offered jointly by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Engineering. Students are in designated activities outside the classroom. CHSA ~ CHASS Highest Scholastic Achievement Cumulative GPA = 4.0 CM ~ Co-Major The student has two or more academic majors in different areas. TJS ~ Thomas Jefferson Scholars Program is a dual degree program for highly motivated students offered by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Students are in activities outside the classroom. UHP ~ University Honors Program is designed to prepare excellent students for graduate and professional schools and research opportunities. Students have the opportunity to live in Honors Village and spend 75% of special program time in academic development and 25% in enrichment activities. USP ~ University Scholars Program is designed to provide professional and leadership development for outstanding students. Students have the opportunity to live in Scholars Village and spend 75% of special program time in enrichment activities and 25% in academic development. Graduation with Honors ~ based on Grade Point Average (GPA) GPA 3.250 through 3.499 cum laude GPA 3.500 through 3.749 magna cum laude GPA 3.750 through 4.0 summa cum laude Highest cumulative GPA awarded = 4.0 (even though individual courses completed with an A+ receive a GPA of 4.333 for that specific course). Graduation notes: 1) Students included in this program are IDS-IS graduate candidates who have received initial graduation approval for Spring or Summer 2013 and await final University-level graduation approval, which occurs after the terms and Spring graduation ceremonies. 2) Student slides shown during the graduation ceremony were supplied by the students. 3) Content may not reflect all course grades in the students’ final term and is not official.
