Science Research Institute: Application
Thank you for your interest the 2015 Summer Science Research Institute
(SSRI).
Please follow these instructions as you complete your application:
1. Fill out the Main Application as a Microsoft word document.
2. Check yalessri.com regularly for updates.
3. The full application to SSRI, including this document, your resume, your official
recommendation, and your transcript must be submitted to SSRI by March 8, 2015
(11:59 PM), by emailing summerscienceresearchinstitute@gmail.com. Please use the
subject line “SSRI Application: Your Full Name, Student.” Incomplete applications will
not be considered.

5. The recommendation form can be downloaded from our website,
http://yalessri.wordpress.com/. Your recommendation should be written by a high
school STEM (Science, Mathematics, Technology, or Engineering) teacher. They must
submit it by March 8th (11:59 PM) by emailing it from their official school email address
to summerscienceresearchinstitute@gmail.com with the subject line “SSRI Application:
Student’s Full Name, Recommendation.” Ask them to email you after submitting the
recommendation, so that you can ensure that it is submitted on time.

Part Two: Stipends
SSRI offers moderate stipends to all participants in order to ensure that all qualified students
have the opportunity to participate, regardless of financial situation.
Please mark the box to the left with an “X" if you feel that you would be hindered from
participating in SSRI if not awarded a stipend.
If you do not mark the above box, your stipend will be distributed among the other participants
who are in need of financial support to conduct their summer research.
*If
you do not mark the above box, we will be unable to give you a stipend at a later point, as your stipend will
already have been allocated to other students.
