Design your own cartouche with your name in hieroglyphs inside. Research what ancient Egyptian homes looked like, then show in pictures, words or a model. OR Construct a pyramid using materials of your choice. Create a word search or crossword about ancient Egypt. This can be about only one topic if you want. OR Make a set of Top Trumps Cards based on the Egyptian gods / goddesses. Find out some fascinating facts about Ancient Egypt, and use these facts to write five multiple choice quiz questions (ten for those who find lots of facts!). We will use them to have a class quiz! Ancient Egyptians used shadufs to lift water out of the Nile. They are still used in Egypt today! Have a go at making a working model of a shaduf. Sticks, blutack, and small plastic yoghurt pots are perfect materials for this activity. When you have finished, take or draw a picture of your shaduf and write a set of simple instructions for how to make it. Draw a net of a square based pyramid with the triangles all having angles of 60 degrees. If you need to borrow a protractor, please ensure it comes back to school. OR Write 5 (or 10) questions that you would ask Tutankhamun if he were alive today.
